Website Care Plans Frequently Asked Questions
My site was not built by Private Practice Elevation, can I still get one of your Care Plans?
Absolutely. Because we’re unfamiliar with your site and how it was built, we’ll need to audit the setup and make sure that we’ll be able to update software without anything breaking. If issues come up, we can discuss how they can be addressed before continuing with a Care Plan.
My hosting plan can do automatic backups and plugin updates. Why do I need a Website Care Plan?
Most hosts that also backup your website will keep a limited number of backups, usually only 1 day’s worth. They also tend to store that backup on the same server as your website, so if your website goes down, you won’t be able to access that backup. Silly, right?
We’ll keep 90 day’s worth of backups and we’ll store those offsite so we’ll always have access to your website should we need to restore it to a previous version.
We highly discourage automatic updates. Many times your WordPress version or theme may not be compatible with a plugin update, causing your site to crash without you even knowing it. With our managed updates, we’ll be able to roll things back and troubleshoot incompatible software.
What types of tasks are included in the Support Time?
Our WordPress services and expertise allows us to make content updates, publish blog posts, perform theme or stylesheet adjustments, install new plugins, configure forms, and much more.
From code to general WordPress issues, we’ll take care of almost any website update.
What is not included in the monthly Support Time?
New design layouts or development of new features or plugins are not included and will require a formal quote as they generally go over the monthly time to support.
What’s the onboarding process?
If you know which plan is right for you, just click the “get started” button on your plan of choice and pay for your first month.
We’ll send you a secure form where you can give us all the information we’ll need to access your website and hosting setup.
Then we’ll get your website set up in our system. Once we get the all-clear, we’ll let you know that your Care Plan has begun, your website has been updated, and you can email our Support Desk with updates.
How do I get help if my website is down or I need to make an update?
You’ll have access to our Care Plan Support Desk. Just send us an email and you’ll get an automated email letting you know your request was received. Shortly after that, you’ll get a human response letting you know that someone on our team is handling it. Our turnaround time is typically within 48 hours.
Is there a minimum monthly commitment?
Because we’re so confident in the value you’ll get from our Care Plans, you’re free to cancel your subscription at any time. You pay upfront each month for your plan. If you’d like to cancel, just let us know before your next month begins.
